RESPONSIBLE
INVESTMENT
Our Approach
Merin integrates responsible investment principles across all activities, from initial opportunity assessment through to active management and exit. This is not a compliance exercise. It reflects our view that governance, risk management and environmental and social considerations are material to the long-term performance of infrastructure assets.
The assets we invest in are part of the critical infrastructure of the energy system. They serve communities, operate within regulated environments, and carry obligations that extend beyond financial return. We take those obligations seriously.
Governance and Compliance
Merin maintains a governance framework designed to ensure that decision-making is disciplined, transparent and consistent with our stated investment principles. Our internal controls support accountability at every level of the investment process.
We operate in accordance with all applicable regulatory requirements and maintain formal compliance policies covering anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, whistleblower protection and related matters.
ESG Integration
Environmental, social and governance considerations are integrated into our investment assessment process. We evaluate the ESG profile of each opportunity as part of our standard due diligence and consider how ESG factors may affect risk and return over the investment period.
Our ESG framework is supported by formal policy documentation and is reviewed regularly to reflect evolving best practice and the expectations of our counterparties and investors.
